Origin of the program idea

In year 2008, the program idea was originated to ease herd management through computer assistance and to establish good and accurate management. Utilizing all the information available on the heard. Our software has been tested on approximately 50 large breeder private farms in Egypt and other countries. Big or small criticisms were appreciated in order to improve our product. Then, in 2019 after celebrating the Bronze Jubilee of our Farm Manager program (Desktop application) and with the increasing demand for it as a web-based version, we decided to publish it to download our idea as a website that could benefit all specialists to raise all kinds of livestock’s and complete the work on the phone, tablet, personal computer and laptop worldwide through the Internet. Intensification of animal production systems, increased consumer awareness of food quality and safety, and heightened consciousness about animal welfare issues should a great need for more reliable animal identification system and special software for registration of herds under Egyptian animal production system. Animal identification and traceability systems have achieved rapid development in the world's main livestock producing nations and have been recognized by the main food, health and livestock trading authorities. Electronic identification (EID) is one of the main technologies adopted, whereby each individual animal is identified and traced through a unique identification number saved on an electronic transponder (ear tag or bolus). The present animal identification and registration system in Egypt mostly does not use any electronic identification tools and is administered manually which often causes unreliable and incorrect results. While using EID facilitates tracking every single parameter that could be of interest to the herdsman: animal health history, disease control, milk/meat/wool production and nutrition.
